Danse Macabre's Fifteenth Birthday

A big anniversary for us! Fifteen years of Danse Macabre, and we couldn't have done it without you all. We genuinely thought we'd do it maybe once or twice to see if any of our mates wanted to come along. And now hundreds of you do. :)

From our OGs who remember us valiantly juggling between two laptops and three bags of records down in Sleazys on a Tuesday night, to the new post-lockdown babybat faces who have lit up our nights, and to the parent-and-child combos now coming to the dancefloor, we love you all.

Come celebrate fifteen years, and maybe fifteen more, of your fave LGBTQ+ goth disco.

// ACCESSIBILITY

The venue is a basement venue, accessed down a flight of stairs. If you wish to discuss ways to access, please contact the venue directly. We will be using mostly low lighting and smoke machines, visibility may be limited. Audio levels should be loud enough to dance to, but low enough that you shouldn’t need to raise your voice to chat. If you need earplugs, please ask bar staff or DJs. All toilets are gender-neutral. There are two sets, both to the right-hand side of the stage. Danse Macabre operates a strict safe space policy and will not tolerate bigotry of any kind. Anyone who feels uncomfortable, harassed, or in danger, should immediately come to the DJ booth, and a member of venue staff or security will be called if required. Our full policy is available on our website. The nearest railway station is Glasgow Queen Street, and the nearest Subway stations are Cowcaddens and Buchanan Street. The area is served by a number of buses, with Buchanan Bus Station only a few minutes’ walk away.

// HEALTH

Please do not attend if you feel unwell. Please take an LFT before attending (yes we know it’s 2025 but we also don’t like getting sick). Black FFP2 masks available from the DJ booth.
