Imbolc

TICKETS

Feilire & Wyrd Collective presents Imbolc.

Féilire & Wyrd Collective are delighted to host our second gathering, coming together under the new moon of Imbolc (1st Feb), at The Flying Duck on the 31st of January.

Imbolc celebrates the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Spring is letting its first light in, and the land waking from its winter sleep. It’s a night intertwined with the deity Brigid, a night to leave offerings, weave wreaths and welcome her as she passes through the night. Imbolc comes from the Gaeilge phrase ‘i mbolg’ meaning in the belly we enter the time of renewal, softness, and making space for what we wish to grow.

On the night we will have installations, traditions, readings by Wyrd Collective, live performance by Ushmush & Féilire & Wyrd DJ set into the wee hours.

Ushmush (AKA Ennis Town Adi AKA Buachaillín Dembó AKA Ól Man) is a producer and vocalist who blends club influences with lyrics sung in a mixture of Gaeilge (Irish) and English. This hybrid style is self-described as Reggaeltón. A seasoned performer as an MC on the club scene in Ireland, with mainstream media airplay and appearances on RTÉ, TG4 and BBC Gaeilge. Ushmush most recently contributed vocals to Rory Sweeney’s acclaimed 2025 album Old Earth in collaboration with Roo Honeychild. He tours nationally and in the UK with Súil Amháin, and works collaboratively with pop sensation Lewis Doyle Singer. A member of underground Irish Hip-Hop supergroup Machine Gun Céilí and is one half of the rap trio D’Burglary.
