New Shapes goes balearic ~~~
16th of May we debut at the intimate confines of The Flying Duck, ushering in an evening of exquisite soundscapes, cosmic euphoria and sultry sensations. The weather is forecast for the best in hazy disco, scorching house, shimmering new wave, hypnotic downtempo, a refreshing slice of sade and a splash of chris rea to seal the deal <3
Lineup:
Fred Alexander - Vita Nova party boss, Subcity resident, Coorie Doon associate and all round geezer, Fred is one of the finest DJs in the land. Across genres, tempos, rhythms and textures, no second hand crate has been left unturned in his search for gorgeous and immersive music. We are truly thrilled and elated to have him onboard!
Gloss - After a sizzling set of heaters and groovers for our last party we simply had to have her back! Having played at esteemed venues such as La Cheetah, Subclub, Cabaret Voltaire and Riverside Festival, Gloss is no stranger to packed dancefloors and cosmic bangers, displaying a knack for intoxicating melody, heady rhythms and seamless blends.
Kenwat - New Shapes host Kenwat previously dedicated a 3 year residency at Dublin Digital Radio in an attempt to recreate the feeling of the setting sun over a gleaming ocean expanse, so is ideally placed to kick this bad boy off. Melt into the sounds of balearic bliss with one of the best party-starters in town.
THEME
Book your flights and dress to impress - theme is Brits abroad! Think the tantalising glamour of 80's Pacha mixed with the Costa Del Clobber of Sexy Beast; tan lines, vest tops, silky shirts, short shorts, big hats, hoop earrings and absolutely massive gold chains. Cold beer and calamari awaits.. ////////
