PCL Present: feeo

At the heart of the project lies song and story. Using production, performance, and written word, feeo situates hyperpersonal narratives in the political and sociocultural wasteland of contemporary London. feeo's debut album, Goodness, released on AD 93 in October 2025, is an open, impressionistic assemblage of drone, ambient, experimental electronic, improvisational and minimalist dance music. Illuminated with breathtaking vocals and uncanny poetics, across protean forms and voices, feeo explores an ever-evolving counterpoint between connection and isolation, the city and the natural world. She describes the album as "an exploration of simultaneous yet opposing states of being; darkness and lightness, obscurity and visibility and most fundamentally, solitude and togetherness. Each song is an adumbration; a partial sketch of one aspect of the LP - each finding its complete meaning when read in the context of the whole."

Outside of feeo, Laird is one half of the duo Crosspiece with bassist Caius Williams, and a member of the GRAIN Residency for improvised and experimental music. Laird's songwriting is informed by improvised music, through which she explores linguistic phonetics and interpersonal dynamics.
